The Retreat belongs to Falgunsinhji Jhala from erstwhile princely family in Saurashtra, Gujarat. The owner Falgunsinhji Jhala is keenly interested in Environment and Ecology, has worked as Field Education Officer with WWF – INDIA, and has been associated with pioneering movement in Nature Orientation Camping 1980 started by well-known Indian Ornithologist and Naturalist Mr Lavkumar Khachar. As camp Incharge, he has handled nature orientation camps at Pirotan Island Marine National Park, Camps in the interiors of Gir National Park – Kamleshwar, Hingolgadh Sanctuary, Himalyan Orientation Camps in Manali, Solang Valley and high altitude region Gulaba. Has trekked extensively in the Himalaya’s Parvati Valley, Hampta Valley, Gushiani-Great Himalyan National Park, Zanskar Valley over the Shingo La Pass and Milam Glacier from Munshiari. He has surveyed habitats for biodiversity content and eco-tourism potential for corporate clients in hot spot biodiversity area of Putlam, Sri Lanka bordering Willpattu and amidst the Mountain slopes and alpine regions rich in Floral species and mineral springs in BHUTAN and in western Himalya’s Lahoul and Kutch in Gujrat.
